Helping Others to Learn About Complexity:

Pace in Learning

How fast can you expect others to learn about CAS? Of course, it's impossible to know until you do it, but we can make some general observations.

People will vary in the pace of their learning and the pace at which visible behavior changes occur. Be patient... but challenging. Seek to create learning environments in which everyone is proceeding forward at his or her maximum pace. Do not hold back those innovators and early adopters that are ready to press on ahead of the group.

If you have to budget your time (and who doesn't!) spend most of your time helping those who are moving forward the fastest. Then concentrate on providing information about those innovators to others, challenging them to reflect on what the innovators are doing.
